A few days ago, my ex-boss informed me that he won a huge ass contract!
He’s set for like the next 30 years.
I’m so proud of myself, because I’m sincerely really freaking happy for him, and at the same time, in my idealistic way, I want the same kind of success for me 😁
But, when I tell a friend about it:
“Hey, guess what? So, and so won that big contract!”.
The immediate response I get is an assessment question:
“Really, wow, how much is that worth?”
Me: “Truck loads of money for the next 30 years at least!”
My friend: “Well, yeah ok, but as long as he doesn’t fuck it up, that is.”
This guy has been working is ass off trying to build his dream and now that he’s found success, let’s fucking minimize it from the peanut gallery, shall we?
Please, let’s not celebrate achievements because Lord forbid, we be proud of ourselves for just a god damn second there.
THESE kinds of reactions are our ultimate problem.
I feel it and see it at every single turn; in almost everything that I do, I’m met with judgement, criticism, pessimism, undermining comments, warnings, yeah buts, and general negativity.
And when I’m met with even the slightest, “yeah, good job girl, I’m proud of you” from my boyfriend, I don’t believe it.
It’s when we learn that life works by adding to it (focussing on and amplifying what’s right) and not by managing lack (focussing on what we think is wrong to try to make it right), that we’ll finally thrive and feel the freedom and the psychological relief we are all sooooo longing for.
Our fate has absolutely nothing to do with what’s wrong in the world, but everything to do with how we try to compensate for our own lack of (emotional and psychological) self-understanding and self-determination.
And this ultimate conundrum dwells within the paradox, that it’s not entirely our fault and entirely our fault, at the same time 😕.
The underlining problem is that we haven’t been taught the Framework for Existence. The universal WHY and HOW TO of WHO we are and WHAT life is.
Instead, since birth, our thoughts and actions have bathed in the continual loop of spiritual and social brainwashing that has led us astray from the natural flow of our Inner Knower.
In every aspect of our lives, from what we’re suppose to eat, to how we should conduct our relationships, best run our businesses and raise our children, we’ve been told to:
put in effort;
push beyond our comfort zone;
work hard at things we don’t like and aren’t good at;
put ourselves in other people’s shoes;
be grateful for settling for less than what we truly want;
compromise for the sake of something or someone other than our selves;
compete for our piece of the pie;
(The list can go on, but I’ll stop there because I’m told that people don’t read long texts, so let me contort my self-expression to please the royal subjects) -yes, I’m currently watching The Crown 😂.
Well then, is it a wonder that out of my ten closest relationships:
4 have suffered professional burnouts;
6 have chronic illnesses such as insomnia, migraines, anxiety or depression;
5 don’t like their job so much but keep at it because they’re paid well;
3 have children with behavioral challenges?
Heck no, considering!
And, I know that it can feel really scary to think about how deeply we’ve been programmed away from our natural path, in that we don’t even know our joy from our anxiety, and we can’t decipher our fears from our excitement or our wants from our needs.
But all this conditioning can be thwarted with the simple Knowing that the true universal and natural order of things is simply to imagine and act on our heart’s desires!
And that’s why it’s our general cynicism that’s our undoing; because our external world (our life experiences), what we see, what we hear and what we smell, is the exact reflection of our internal world, of our thoughts, feelings and beliefs.
So why don’t you strengthen your self-worth and well-being by training with us?
You’ll learn all about the Universal Laws and the Mechanics of Consciousness, and I guarantee that after this training, you’ll stop googling ways to try to get motivated to do the things you don’t want to do because you’ve been pressured, undermined or guilted into feeling that they are more important than what you truly desire.
